The 2nd generation Moto G was introduced a few weeks ago and our friends over at Droid-Life have done a nice first look and unboxing of Motorola's new budget Android smartphone.  Now the big changes that you immediately notice is a larger screen...5 inches in fact and two front firing speakers...which are actually quite loud. Resolution of the screen stays at 720p (1280 x 720).  We still have those nice removable backs however...a total of 15 different colors and textures are available and the price stays at the budget friendly $179...and that's off contract, which is pretty amazing if you think about it.  Another nice new addition is a MicroSD card slot which lets you expand the 8GB or 16GB at a later date if you want to.  The camera has also been upgraded moving from a 5mp to a 8mp one which should allow for higher resolution pictures.  The processor stays the same as last year's model...the Snapdragon 400 CPU clocked at 1.2 GHz coupled with an Adreno 305 GPU.  One nice addition however is a gyroscope which the old model was missing.   We'll post some more in-depth reviews when they become available but overall it seems like a pretty substantial upgrade for the Moto G and with the same wallet friendly price.
